Arrival

Arrival & VIP Welcome

The programme opens with a carefully orchestrated executive welcome — not a casual mixer, but a formal introduction that establishes the tone and gravity of what follows.

Speakers arrive at curated accommodation in Abuja and are welcomed into an intimate private dinner with select government representatives, platform leadership, and senior partners. First conversations begin here. Connections that will matter for years are established in these first hours.

Mastermind Sessions

Speaker Mastermind

Structured time is dedicated to intensive speaker development. This is the intellectual core of the programme — where ideas are stress-tested, refined, and prepared for the global stage.

Working in small cohorts with experienced coaches, each speaker works through their talk structure, narrative arc, and delivery. Speakers also observe and critically support each other — building the kind of honest, high-level peer review that elevates every participant's output.

03
Cultural Immersion

Cultural Immersion

The ideas worth sharing cannot be developed in isolation from the place where they are being shared. This phase takes speakers into the cultural fabric of Abuja and Nigeria's capital territory.

Curated cultural experiences provide context, material, and a grounded sense of place. These are not tourism activities. They are intellectual experiences deliberately chosen to deepen each speaker's sense of what Africa's future demands.

Institutional Engagement

Government & Institutional Engagement

Curated access to governmental and institutional spaces provides speakers with the kind of authority and context that only direct engagement can confer.

Speakers meet with representatives from government, regional institutions, and civic bodies — deepening the institutional weight behind the ideas they bring to the main stage.

05
Event Day

The Main TEDx Event

The day that matters. Final rehearsals give way to the live stage — the audience assembled, the cameras live. Every idea developed through the preceding phases meets its moment.

The main Project TEDxAfrica event is a full-day programme broadcast globally. Speakers take the stage in sequence, each delivering their prepared talk before an audience of invited delegates drawn from government, international institutions, the private sector, and civil society. The talks are recorded and published to the TEDx global archive.
